CallCatch AI SMS Consent Flow

This page documents the consumer-facing keypad flow used to collect affirmative consent for customer-care text messages. It is evidence of the opt-in experience, not a web form and not a way to enroll online.

How the Flow Works

Messages for this current CallCatch AI development and initial A2P campaign are sent from +1 (816) 704-6271. This number identifies the current campaign and does not mean that every future CallCatch customer will use the same number.

  • A consumer calls a CallCatch-enabled number for a participating service business.
  • Before the call is connected, the system identifies the service business and CallCatch AI, explains the customer-care message purpose, and gives the required SMS disclosures.
  • The caller may press 1 to agree or 2 to decline. The flow uses keypad input, not speech recognition.
  • Pressing 1 records affirmative consent. Pressing any other key or providing no input does not create consent through this call.
  • The call continues to the service business whether the caller agrees, declines, or provides no input.
A phone call by itself is not SMS consent. The current workflow does not record call audio. For a successful opt-in, CallCatch stores the exact spoken prompt and version, the tenant and phone number, the Twilio call identifier, the 1 keypress, and the consent timestamp.

Standard Consumer-Facing Script

For an IVR-enabled CallCatch line, the standard system prompt is:

Before we connect you, [Service Business Name] uses CallCatch AI to send automated customer-care texts about this service request, including missed-call follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out. See getcallcatchai.com/terms and getcallcatchai.com/privacy. Press 1 to agree or 2 to decline. Your call will continue either way.

A separately reviewed, tenant-specific prompt may be used only when it preserves these disclosures and is stored with a version identifier. If configured wording is incomplete, CallCatch uses the standard prompt above for an IVR-enabled line.

Example: Caller Agrees

Caller

Presses 1.

System

Thank you. You agreed to receive customer-care text messages about this service request. We will now connect your call.

System

The call is connected to the service business. If the forwarded call is missed, and the account’s remaining compliance and messaging gates pass, CallCatch may send the authorized customer-care follow-up.

Example: Caller Declines or Gives No Input

System

Before we connect you, [Service Business Name] uses CallCatch AI to send automated customer-care texts about this service request, including missed-call follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out. See getcallcatchai.com/terms and getcallcatchai.com/privacy. Press 1 to agree or 2 to decline. Your call will continue either way.

Caller

Presses 2.

System

No problem. You will not be enrolled in text messages based on this call. We will now connect your call.

System

The call is connected without creating a new SMS consent record from this call. If the caller provides no input, the prompt times out and the call likewise continues without a new SMS enrollment.

Declining does not block or end the phone call. It also does not itself revoke consent that may have been given separately in the past; a consumer can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages for the applicable program.

First Customer-Care Message

When an authorized missed-call follow-up is sent, CallCatch ensures the initial message identifies the relevant business and includes the program disclosures. A representative format is:

“[Service Business Name]: Sorry we missed your call. How can we help? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out.”

The message is customer care related to the consumer’s service request. This program does not enroll the consumer in promotional marketing.

Consumer Controls

Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
